database. The kit has the broadest detection profile and detects all clinically relevant strains. The kit detects the
Legionella species: Legionella anisa, Legionella antarctica, Legionella cardiaca, Legionella cherrii, Legionella
clemsonensis, Legionella fallonii, Legionella hackeliae, Legionella lansingensis, Legionella longbeachae, Legionella micdadei, Legionella pneumophila, Legionella sainthelensi, Legionella spiritensis and Legionella waltersii. The following species may be detected: Legionella geestiana, Legionella jordanis, Legionella oakridgensis.
Sensitivity & specificity
The detection limit is tested to have at least 100 copies per reaction. The primers and probe are 100% specific.
